Selection of Otop Speed on the City Streets and Highways

Abstract
The research work “Selection of top speed in the city streets and highways” was made to order of the Road Traffic Safety Fond. There are analysed factors which exert direct and indirect influence upon process which occur in the streets and highways of Lithuania. The criterions of selection of top driving speed and recommendations of determination of top speed are discussed in the work as well.
There are summarized accidents and drawn conclusions concerning the top speed which exists on the roads of Lithuania in fact.
There are presented suggestions and recommendations concerning determination of differential top speed criterions taking into account different factors and recommendations proposing how to ensure observance of top speed routine on the roads. Conclusions and recommendation of the work illustrate the same methods of top speed determination in the cities and on the roads of Lithuania.
