Abstract

There are presented the foundations of text author’s identification. They are developed on the bases of author’s prepared methodical recommendation ¥Determination of the author of Lithuanian text“. These methodical recommendations were approved by meeting of the Board of Directors of Forensic Science Centre of Lithuania on the 12 of November 1999 (protocol Nr. 6). Deep author’s experience as forensic expert developed non-traditional point of view to criminalistic investigation of the writing language revealing some scantiness of the traditional analysis. Theoretical principles of methodic were developed on the ground of investigation of Lithuanian language during last decades, particularly speech (not language as specific object of linguistic) and works devoted to stylistics. Definition of writing language indication in authorship examination, classification of non–traditional indications and peculiarities of examinations are discussed in the article too.
