Abstract

The developments of cyberspace have given rise to an unprecedented economic and social changes, but they also have a dark side: the emergence of new types of crime as well as the commission of traditional crimes by means of new technologies. The present work deals with some legal regulation problems of criminal acts in cyberspace in Lithuania. One of the main problems is a new kind of acts, not yet regulated by criminal law in Lithuania. The old Criminal code of the Republic of Lithuania do not prohibit cyber crimes. Also the new Criminal code of the Republic of Lithuania has not been extended to cover different types of cybercrime and is to be changed and modified.
