Development and Perspectives of Regulation of Employment of Foreigners in Lithuania

Abstract
The article analyses development of regulation of employment of foreigners in Lithuania since 1990 till present days. Preconditions of regulation of foreigner's employment – both for limitation and for allowing – are presented, which cause the contents of legislation in this field. Analysis of legislation, related to regulation of foreigner’s employment, for period from 1990 is presented, gaps and deficiencies of regulation are analysed, notes and proposals on improvement of regulation are presented. The article also tries to take a glance at possible development of legal regulation of employment of foreigners in the nearest years, especially taking into account Lithuania's integration into European Union.
