Abstract
The international treaties between the Republic of Lithuania and the other States or the international organizations are the significant factor to ensure the interests of the Republic of Lithuania as well as its independence; in such a way the research of the definition of the international treaty of the Republic of Lithuania is of great importance.
This article gives the definitions of the international treaty as defined by the theory of International Law as well as defined by the International Conventions and the Laws of the Republic of Lithuania.
The article deals with the analysis of the form, language, titles and structure of the international treaty.
The article focuses the attention on the interdepartmental agreements existing next to the international treaties of the Republic of Lithuania which essentially are the international treaties as well.
