Abstract
The article deals with the main problems, which are closely connected with the process of social control of persons, who have liberated from prison. Social control of persons, who have finished a term of criminal penalty, especially punishment by imprisonment, is an element of the system of social prevention of recidivist criminality.
The article contains: the definitions of social control in general and in the field of prevention of recidivist criminality, the relation of social control and social prevention, the object and the subjects of social control, the legal cause of social control, the legal control of this process.
