Abstract
Celibacy is not separated from life. It is a way of life. Both engagement in celibacy and a disdain for it in any way raise the questions: what celibacy is needed for? Why does one engage in it or not? The answers will show what people think about the Church, it’s teaching, the engagement in celibacy and how firm faith is.
A person dedicated to any mission does it till the end or fails. The same is with observance of celibacy. The Church having desire to maintain the consecration of clergy and devotion to God, has established punishments in case the celibacy is not observed. However, the main concern of the Church is not to punish the guilty, but to bring him back to his way of life and proper to the clergy.
