Research results are based on data received after shooting with different handguns at different objects, which can be find in real situations: vehicle parts, building materials, home objects and bulletproof materials. Research was stimulated by problems of using police firearms and police officers safety problems in those situations. Lithuanian police officers use firearms on duty quite often. Unfortunately danger remains to bystanders and other persons in those situations. Sometimes police officers used firearms illegally or not professionally because of lack of information about firearms and ammunitions possibilities and often are unable to evaluate consequences.
