Peculiarities of Administrative Legal Regulation of Metrology

Abstract
The main aim of this research is to analyse the peculiarities of legal regulation of metrology and the problems arising in this area. The content of the article is divided into two parts. The first part of the article analyses the concept of metrology, reveals the relation between fundamental and legal metrology and accentuates problems of metrology as well as repressive means applied in the metrological procedure. The second part analyses the European Union as well as national legislation regulating the implementation of metrology in Lithuania and peculiarities of harmonisation of national law with the European Union legislation.
