Abstract

Analysis of the ecological situation in the world suggests that ensuring economic growth of any country should be based on the principles of sustainable development. The question of the relationship between the dynamics of GDP and the degree of pollution requires a detailed study. The relationship between economic growth and the amount of emissions based on statistics of Ukraine, Poland, Germany and Lithuania is shown. The amount of emissions is one of the factors influencing economic growth, so neural networks are constructed in the article that can be used to predict the amount of emissions for countries under the World Bank  classification by the income level. Also, various factors that have the greatest impact on the predicted rate of CO2 are analyzed in the article. This analysis allows selecting a set of independent variables that can provide a better prediction of the studied parameters and make appropriate economic decisions in order to achieve economic growth in a sustainable development.
