Abstract

There are many changes in today’s Lithuanian family: people are getting married elder, elder women bears, more couples live not married, number of children born in not registered families grows, which according to the results of different researches are less stabile and sense of duty to grow the children in these families are not so strong. The birthrate is falling down. The main reasons of these changes are social economical alterations.
There are a number of the different types of the organizations, which offer services for the pregnant women, but mostly not for those who are in the crisis due to the pregnancy and difficult social economical situation. These women are not able to afford payable services and needs immediate intervention and help.
In this aspect, pregnant women in economical and emotional crisis form the social group which needs urgent analysis and support.
The Critical Pregnancy Programme is the only one in Lithuania, which provides free complex services to the pregnant women in crisis. In order to identify the real needs of the clients and to assure the right services, it is necessary to be engaged in the researches.
The main aim of the article is to present analysis of the clients of the Critical Pregnancy Programme in their needs to the programme aspect and to verify how the Programme meets them.
It was analyzed the clients’ native families, their environment and opinions in order to better understand what is expected from the Programme and to reach the aim.
Also the analysis of the Critical Pregnancy Programme itself was executed. It was identified the rendered services, gathered Programme staff opinions and practice.
Considering the above, the number of the conclusions were established which are presented in the article.
