Abstract
Taking into consideration the statistical data and the results form special research this article assesses the potential opportunities of the elderly people to participate in the contemporary labour market. This work analyses the potential outcomes of ageing to the employment situation in the country. It also presents a review review of the situation of elderly people in the modern labour market. Quite a lot of attention is paid to the factors determining the obstacles precluding the elderly persons from returning to the labour market.
