Abstract

The objective of this paper is to analyse the genesis of NPM in the context of organisational theories and the main structural elements. Theoretic background for NPM concept rests on general theoretic groups of organisations. Group of classic or formal theories, group of socio-psychological theories and group of modern theories affected the New Public Management. Author analyses structural elements of NPM presented: decentralization, privatisation, formation of market conditions in public sector, participation, application of private sector management methods.
