ETHNICITY AS A SOCIAL CAPITAL IN THE CONTEXT OF MIGRATION

Abstract
The aim of the article is to disclose the importance of social capital in the context of migration. The concept of social capital, interpretation of ethnicity from different theoretical approaches, analysis of the relevance of ethnicity during migration process, as well as positive and negative aspects of social capital are discussed in the article. Secondary data analysis is supplemented by the data of the qualitative study carried out in 2013–2014 in the frame of the project „The Trajectories and Evaluation Mechanisms of Integration of Third-country Nationals“.
