Abstract
The article deals with the scope of problems connected to creating a new study programme ‘Ethics’ at the Faculty of Arts Comenius University in Bratislava. The author is describing the situation in which the new programme and its contents development. She introduces possibilities of traditional philosophical and ethical approaches in this process. She also mentions the problem of dichotomy of sciences and humanities. The main goal of the author is to stress the need of rationality re-interpretation which should be understood as the ability to tolerate and perceive the opinions of others, as willingness to listen to and to rely more on persuading than on power.
