Abstract
The organization of the complex assistance for victims of trafficking in women is a new phenomenon in Lithuania. Therefore, the aspects and means for assistance are not yet clearly defined and there is no common resocialization service system.
The researches mostly present the approaches, considerations and activities of the NGOs’ experts, working in the field of trafficking in women, but the position of victims is not taken into account. Mostly, they reveal the problems on the national level, however, the evaluation of the educational possibilities for victims of trafficking is still missing. There is still lack of research on the conditions for schooling and achieving vocational education, as well as motivating the victims to educate oneself, integrate into the labour market, develop new occupational values, professional competences and independent life skills, as relevant skills for their resocialization.
The survey discusses these questions: What are the factors, determining the successful resocialization of victims? What are the limiting factors? What are the educational possibilities for victims of trafficking in women?
