Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The article should be original, previously unpublished and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
The electronic manuscript should be sent in two files, the first the complete manuscript itself and the second a cover sheet with all details about the author(s) (name, title of qualification awarded, occupation, name and address of institution, e-mail address). Manuscripts have be in Microsoft Word format. Manuscript and a cover sheet with all details about the author(s) should be submited on Open Journal System (OJS) https://ojs.mruni.eu/ojs/social-inquiry-into-well-being. - Authors must take responsibility for language editing of their article, it should be without spelling, punctuation and style errors.
- Length of text. The length of the text comprises 10-14 pages, including all the necessary parameters (or to 40 000 symbols with spaces), pages are numbered. Upon a decision of Editorial Board, a larger article may be included. Scientific reviews, abstracts and other informational publications in size should not exceed more than 5 pages.
- Formatting requirements: a text editor is Microsoft Word, font - Times New Roman size 12 pt, line spacing - 1.5 range, the text layout sheet - one side of A4 paper in one column, all the edges leaving no narrower than 25 mm margins.
- All artwork (figures, tables, pictures, etc.) are posted and centered there, where referred to in the text. Figures, tables, pictures, etc. are provided in the separate electronic file. Larger-scale graphic file can be placed at the top or bottom over its entire width. Figures, tables, pictures, etc. cannot be greater than a width of 175 mm (over all page). Suitable graphic file formats are Tagged Image File Format (TIFF), Word for Windows, Corel Draw, and Excel. Photos (color or black and white) must be of good quality, suitable for printing black and white. Figures, tables, pictures, etc. should be numbered consecutively. Names of figures, drawings, photographs, appear on the bottom, names of the tables - at the top. The names of the figures and tables are provided in both - Lithuanian and English languages, for example, 1 pav., Fig. 1; 3 lentele, Table 3. References to images or their parts in the text are provided in parenthesis, for example (see Figure 1. A). Placing any figure, table, picture published in another source, please, refer the original source.
- Literature references in the text, spelling of names, abbreviations, foreign language terms. In the text references to literature sources are given in parenthesis, eg. (Giddens, 2009). The names of Lithuanian authors in the text and list of references are written using Lithuanian characters; names of other authors are written using Latin alphabet. Literature references originated in Cyrillic are transliterated into Latin alphabet using the transliteration rules of the GOST standard (GOSSTANDART Rossii). The names often repeated in the text may be shortened. For the first time the full name is written (giving in parentheses its short form - abbreviation). Further in the text it could be used an abbreviation only, for example, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), further in the text - just MRU.
Foreign language terms are given in parentheses Italic type, such as “separate spheres model (in Lithuanian, atskiru sferu modelis)”. - Submitted articles are reviewed by the double-blind method (the information identifying author(s) and reviewers is classified). Each article shall be appointed at least two referees - scientists with a degree in the relevant field.
An approved article must be corrected by the author according to reviewers and editors comments, or author must argue why comments have not been taken into account. The author should send the revised article and its electronic copy to the Editorial Board no later than two weeks after receiving reviews and editor's remarks.
