Abstract
Health services as well as life styles, physical and social environment are considered as determinants of health. Basic econometric models such as production function may be used for quantification of interaction between these determinants. The paper provides in signs regarding preconditions to use econometric techniques in the research of public health topics. The convergence model based on assumption regarding health policies in EU countries coming closer is an additional tool to analyse complexity of health related issues and is recomended to use.
