Abstract

It is complicated to evaluate the efficiency of the system of training and qualification development of public servants on the institutional level, because of absence of clearly defined criteria for this purpose. After the analysis of publications of Lithuanian and foreign writers, legal acts, which regulate the training and qualification development of the public officials, the criteria of training and qualification development system of the public officials are characterized. It is further sought to analyse and evaluate the efficiency of training and qualification development system of the public officials in the Police department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
